Moths are drawn to light because they think it will give them life. But artificial light usually kills them.
He’s attracted to her the same way, thinking she’ll save him when the relationship is actually destroying him.
Using “share” instead of something like “bathe in” means he wants a mutual relationship, give and take. But that’s not what this is.
I’m just an insect trying to get out of the night
Insects use sunlight to orient themselves during the day. At night, they chase artificial lights, thinking those will do the same thing, but they won’t.
The “night” is probably depression or darkness in his life. He thinks she’ll pull him out of it, but she can’t.

“All I Need” is about being so obsessed with someone that it consumes everything else in your life. The narrator is waiting in the background, invisible to the person he wants, slowly destroying himself with the intensity of his feelings.
He compares himself to a trapped animal, a moth drawn to deadly light, an insect trying to escape darkness. Every metaphor points to something small and powerless being destroyed by forces it can’t resist.
